Many people wonder why brigantine Matthew Turner has San Francisco instead of Sausalito as her hailing port. One reason is that our namesake, the builder Matthew Turner used San Francisco as the port on Galilee and other vessels he built, even though they were built in Benicia or elsewhere in the bay.
Construction of Matthew Turner is proceeding in these 3 areas: rigging, electrical & propulsion systems and joinery.
