Climb aboard the classic schooner Seaward and see San Francisco from the water!

We offer a variety of 3-hour sails around San Francisco Bay. These public sails are open to all ages, no sailing experience is necessary and we welcome individuals, groups, and families.

Take in an unmatched view of the city front as you sail by famous San Francisco sights such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and Angel Island. You can sit back and enjoy the view, or get involved in sailing the schooner with the help of our professional crew. Proceeds help support our educational programs and provide scholarship to underserved youth.

Tickets: $60 per adult, $30 per youth ages 6-12, youth 6 and under sail free

Sunset Sails

Select Friday Evenings
6:00 to 8:30pm

Watch the sunset from the deck and enjoy a relaxing end to your week. Complimentary wine, cheese, and light refreshments will be served.
*Since the sun sets early in the fall, some sails are earlier in the evening. Please be sure to check the time of the sail!

Family Adventure Sails

Select Sunday Mornings
10:00am to 12:30pm

Complimentary mimosa, coffee, tea, juices, and light snacks will be served. This sail will include optional learning stations in seamanship and San Francisco Bay ecology. It is a great sail for families, though everyone is invited!

What to Bring:

-It can be very cold on the water! Please bring warm layers, wool cap, etc. Please bring a rain jacket if rain is in the forecast.
-Closed-toe shoes; no flip flops or high heels
-If you bring a hat, make sure it is wind proof! Many baseball caps are lost at sea.

Photos and Cameras:

-We love photos! Please take many, share with us, and tag us in social media! Keep in mind that while sailing you will be in a dynamic environment and exposed to the elements. Although it is rare that we get wet on deck, it is possible.

Cancellation Policy

Once you make your reservation online, over the phone, or via email, you are confirmed. You may cancel with 24 hours notice for a full refund. Please note, however, that our office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am until 5:00 pm. If your sail is on a weekend, you must contact the office before 5:00pm on Friday in order to cancel. Refunds will not be issued for no-shows or calls received while our office is closed for the weekend.

Inclement Weather

Seaward sails rain or shine, unless the captain decides that inclement weather will compromise vessel safety. Rain or a chance of rain does not mean that your sail will be cancelled. If the captain decides it is safe to sail and the client wants to cancel, the above cancellation terms apply. If Call of the Sea cancels the sail, we will do our best to notify each client by phone as soon as the decision is made and clients will be issued a rain check.

Please note that bay area weather is characterized by microclimates, and that rain in one area does not indicate that it will be raining in Sausalito. Also, it is common for morning rain to clear up by late morning or early afternoon. Some of our best sails happen right after the rain!
