We’re excited for you to join Call of the Sea on one of our Community Day Sails! Please review the information below to prepare for your sailing adventure.
It can be very cold on the water. Bring warm layers and a windbreaker or rain jacket. Please wear closed-toe shoes. In warm weather, bring sunglasses, sunscreen and a sunhat. Flip flops and high heels are not permitted on the vessel. If you bring a hat, please check you are able to secure it in the wind. Many baseball caps are lost at sea.
Feel free to take photos and share by tagging us in social media. While sailing, you will be exposed to the elements. Although it is rare to get wet on deck, please protect your equipment accordingly.
Group Sails: Once you make your reservation for a group sail online, you are confirmed and will receive a confirmation email, followed by a charter contract. You may cancel up to thirty days before the sail for a refund, less $100 administration fee. Cancellations fewer than 30 days in advance are not refundable, but you may choose an alternate sailing date if available.
Community Sails: Cancellations within seven days of the sail are non-refundable. Refunds will not be issued for no shows.
Call of the Sea sails rain or shine, unless the captain decides that inclement weather will compromise vessel safety. Rain or a chance of rain does not mean that the sail will be cancelled. If the captain decides it is safe to sail and you wish to cancel, the above cancellation terms apply.
Please note that Bay Area weather is characterized by microclimates, and that rain in one area does not indicate that it will be raining in Sausalito. Also, it is common for morning rain to clear up by late morning or early afternoon. Some of our best sails happen right after the rain!
