Call of the Sea is on a mission to help alleviate the boredom and stress of the Covid-19 affected summer break!   Bay Area youth aged 8 – 14 are invited to join Call of the Sea’s 3-week-long, Summer Camp. The sessions run onsite, Mondays through Fridays, and include a range of seafaring activities to engage young hands and minds.  Campers will build their own model boats, learn seafaring arts such as fancywork, drawing and scrimshaw, sail San Francisco Bay aboard S/V Seaward, and participate in outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, and picnicking at various Bay Area locations such as Angel Island, China Camp and Paradise Beach Park.

When:  Monday to Friday, 9a.m. – 4p.m.

Session 1: June 22 – July 10

Session 2: July 13 – July 31 SOLD OUT

Where:  Meeting at the Bay Model Visitor Center, Sausalito.

Cost:  $1,500 per child for the 3-week program and includes all boat-building materials, sails aboard Seaward, daily lunches, third-party activity or park fees

Covid-19: In accordance with Marin County Dept. of Public Health guidelines spaces are limited to 12 campers per session. The same crew and campers will be together in a “pod” for each 3-week session. All campers, staff and activities will be directed to comply with the current Marin County Public Health Orders.
