Recently we visited Benicia with Lars Anderson from the Sailing Science Center, who treated us to a tour of the exhibits about Matthew Turner at the Museum of History in Benicia! That’s Lars to the left.
This historical gem is in a mid 1800’s armory building and features early California history. Be sure to ask about the bow of Galilee, which is behind another building. Below are some images of the exhibits, which do not do them justice.
We recommend making a day trip to the lovely town of Benicia to see the museum firsthand!
