Meet Captain Lawson as he prepares to break 33 Solo World Records onboard his 60ft Trimaran, Defiant!
Captain Donald Lawson is from Baltimore, Maryland, and began sailing at age 9. He is on a Quest to break 33 Solo World Records onboard his 60ft Trimaran, ‘Defiant’. Captain Lawson’s non-profit organization, Dark Seas Project, is built around helping Diversify the sport of sailing. Serving as the Chairperson for US Sailing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, Captain Lawson’s mission is to provide inspiration to the next generation and beyond.
