At Call of the Sea we’ve been working hard to deliver on our mission of providing on-the-water environmental and maritime education to students of all ages — and in particular youth. To achieve this we’re expanding our fleet with the Matthew Turner which will provide a fantastic experiential sailing platform and an additional 38 berths.
While we’ve been constructing and now completing Matthew Turner, our schooner Seaward has been diligently working throughout the Bay and up and down the West Coast engaging students in day sails, overnight voyages and week-long sailing camps. Seaward has recently completed her mandatory haulout and USCG inspections and is now undergoing an internal refit in preparation for the Mexico chartering season.
We realize many people have been expecting Matthew Turner to go to Mexico and were perhaps planning book a charter on board. She unfortunately is not ready for this journey and will not be sailing to Mexico this winter.
The Mexico season is an important part of Call of the Sea’s program. This is our opportunity to create additional funding in support of our mission and help provide subsidized or free educational trips for youth of all backgrounds.
We invite you to be a part of this ongoing quest and book your Mexico charter aboard schooner Seaward. You can view dates and destinations and make your booking here
Many supporters and past guests are already onboard and we look forward to you joining them and the Call of the Sea family.
See you in Mexico!
