The sewing team at work making chafe guards for mooring lines and repairing Seaward's sail cover. Starbuck Canvas Works is generously donating use of their space and mentoring us on the canvas projects for Matthew Turner.

The New Village School 4th graders came to help at the Matthew Turner shipyard which is being dismantled now that the ship is on the dock with all spars rigged. They helped clean things up a bit, then headed down to see the progress on the ship. These kids had toured a year before, when

First time to hoist the mainsail, in order to take some measurements, but that dark cloud came with a wind shift so we had to lower it quickly. Still, it was exciting to briefly see some sail up on Matthew Turner!
