“Call of the Sea Comes to You” is an in-class educator outreach program, where our instructors go to classrooms across Marin County to deliver our select lab-based marine science lessons directly to your students.
For grades 5 and up
Get up close with ocean life! Select from the following programs:
- Squid Dissection: Eew! This hands-on marine biology lab activity allows students to examine the anatomy of a cephalopod, and to learn more about their remarkable physiology and adaptations.
- Plankton: Identify live marine plankton under the microscope and discover the tiny organisms that support all life in the ocean.
- Marine Debris Timeline: Turn your students into environmental activists through this reckoning with every-day discarded plastic materials. Learn more about how plastics impact the marine environment, and the reality of long-term microplastics.
