It has been a busy, but great month on the Schooner Seaward in Mexico. After being anchored outside of La Paz, they were off again for the annual Carlton College charter. This was Carlton College’s 7th Mexico charter on Seaward! The trip went from La Paz to Espirto Santo where they snorkeled with Sea Lions, whale watched, hiked, paddle boarded, and adventured for 4 nights. From there, they set sail for San Jose del Cabo with fabulous stops in Ensenada De Los Muertos and Friales.
After a few days of provisioning/ prepping the ship, and with a new crew of 6 guests, Seaward set sail to cross the Sea of Cortez making way for Isla Isabella, a small national park and Blue Footed Booby rookery.
Upon arriving at Isla Isabella, the crew and guests enjoyed hiking, bird watching and snorkeling. Crew and guests were gracious enough to do an extensive beach cleanup on the Island before setting sail for Matanchen Bay. After a jungle tour at Matanchen, Seaward set sail for Chacala to enjoy a lively night of Salsa dancing and live music ashore. Seaward is now exploring Banderas Bay before her annual Puerto Vallarta Yacht Club youth sailing program.
They will sail for San Francisco on March 19 taking the offshore clipper route with and ETA of early April. The ship is looking forward to hosting a great welcome home fiesta aboard upon their arrival. Stay tuned on our Facebook page for celebration information!
