Matthew Turner's Main Salon is getting her siding. The interior cabinetry and bunks will be pre-fabricated for installation after all wiring is completed.

At the Sausalito Art Festival in 2013, Jim was fascinated by the big white tent and a huge pile of lumber. By 2014 Matthew Turner's frames were being erected, and Jim signed on as a volunteer. The San Francisco Maritime National Parks Association's annual Ball will be held at the Palace Hotel on September 9, 2017. Matthew Turner, the "first wooden sailing ship to be built in Northern California in more than 85 years" is the theme of their fundraising event, which supports educational programs aboard the ships at Hyde Street

Dan Higgins has been an incredibly competent and consistent volunteer here at Matthew Turner since he joined the project in March of 2014.
