In the yacht club community, the Governor’s Cup is considered one of the world’s best youth racing events. Hosted by the Balboa Yacht Club in Newport Beach, California, the “Gov Cup” was an action-packed race with plenty of on-the-water excitement. This year’s title went to Harry Price (AUS, Cruising Yacht Club of Australia) who won the event with a 3-2 win over Leonard Takahashi (NZL, Royal New Zealand YS).
Call of the Sea’s board member Terry Causey was the principle sponsor of the regatta; all the racing vessels proudly displayed Call of the Sea’s logo along with an image of the educational tall ship Matthew Turner.
Thank you, Terry, for all the support!
