Schooner Seaward’s education season is off to a great start. Seaward is lucky to have another fantastic crew who have been working hard to learn the boat, the bay and the education programs. After a week of training, Seaward crew jumped in to a jam-packed week of educational sails. Thanks to Google sponsored Field Trip Days, TWENTY 4th and 5th grade classes came sailing with full scholarship last week! That’s over 300 students who have now had an up-close-and-personal experience with San Francisco Bay. Lessons in seamanship, navigation, and marine ecology were taught to all.
There are plenty of opportunities for you to come sailing on Seaward, too! We offer Sunset Sails on select Friday and Saturday evenings, & Family Adventure Sails on Sunday mornings.
