Call of the Sea has partnered with Oakland Goes Outdoors for four years, bringing approximately 2,000 students from 61 classrooms in Oakland Unified School District out for a 3-hour Bay Exploration departing from Richmond’s Safe Harbor Marina Bay Yacht Harbor.
The partnership has enabled Call of the Sea to introduce thousands of students to marine science and seamanship with hands-on activities like plankton tows, tying knots and seeing marine mammals and seabirds in person.
