The San Francisco Spring-Summer Fog Machine (sometimes referred to as Karl) has returned with breezy Bay conditions which are perfect for sailing a tall ship like Matthew Turner!

In addition to exciting sailing on a large wooden brigantine and wondrous views of the fog spilling over the Sausalito hills and pouring through the Gate, there is the added thrill of regenerating power with the force of the wind in the sails, propelling the ship through the water.  Under sail at speeds of 8 knots and above, the rotation of the propellers in the water feed power back into the battery banks which power the twin electric propulsion motors.

Matthew Turner not only uses clean energy for power, but also creates clean energy!
