This Week at the Tall Ship Tent and Workshop

This week at the Tall Ship tent and workshop: rigging and fittings work progresses steadily, relaxation during daily crew lunch, some education with a great presentation on climate change in the arctic by David Thoreson, and Brad Bergman is loaning us a sewing machine, in anticipation of canvas work for Matthew Turner's interior and exterior.

A good sized Volunteer crew showed up for the morning meeting and a rainy work day at the tall Ship Tent! Work is progressing on the spars, fittings and rigging.

Come look inside Matthew Turner to see the work down below in the engine room.  Steve Maiero is installing the batter housing, and Alan is showing the Coast Guard inspectors the work.  Raw water filter and plumbing parts are ready for installation.

Today's work on Matthew Turner's yards and main staysail boom. Dan Higgins with one of the yokes he has welded. The four long pieces on the sawhorse are the spreaders. He is also working with Newcomb Barger on the gooseneck fitting for the main staysail boom.
