The San Francisco Maritime National Parks Association's annual Ball will be held at the Palace Hotel on September 9, 2017. Seaward had the fastest elapsed time on the course and placed second in her division in the Master Mariner's Benevolent Association Regatta May 27, 2017. Dan Higgins has been an incredibly competent and consistent volunteer here at Matthew Turner since he joined the project in March of 2014. Schooner Seaward's spring season is wrapping up and her crew is beginning to prepare for summer voyaging. From April to June, Seaward crew taught lessons in marine ecology and biology, navigation, and seamanship to 58 student groups from all over the bay-that's over 2,000 students onboard, and 174 hours of underway-teaching! Schooner Seaward's education season is off to a great start. Seaward is lucky to have another fantastic crew who have been working hard to learn the boat, the bay and the education programs.
