Students from Willow Creek in Sausalito visited Matthew Turner again to learn about angles and area measurements, comparing the protractors that our engineers use vs the ones they use in classroom, knots and the importance of port and starboard terminology.
Our partnerships with schools like Willow Creek ensure that students are able to learn during the construction phases of Matthew Turner. Once the new ship is operational, students will be able to dive more in depth to topics on marine biology, maritime history, plankton, ecology and more onboard.
Student Programs onboard Seward are in full swing now with student groups coming out 4-5 times each week for Bay Explorations sails. If you are an educator or you know educators who would like to schedule tours and lessons or onboard educational field trips, please contact us today! We love working with students and we hope to see more young faces around the tent and onboard!
Adults can also enjoy Public Sails onboard Seaward, check out available dates and book your public sail today!
